The Scentia Max is a waterless, app-controlled cold-air diffuser built from a single piece of aluminum. It atomizes pure essential oil into an ultra-fine dry mist, so there is no water to refill and no residue on your furniture. A built-in 2200 mAh rechargeable battery makes it fully cordless, and Bluetooth control through the Scentia app lets you set intensity, timers, and weekly fragrance schedules from your phone.

How to set up the Scentia Max
Setup takes under two minutes. Always keep the diffuser upright once oil is added.
- Remove the diffuser head. Lift the top section away from the aluminum base.
- Twist off the bottle. Unscrew the 120 ml oil bottle from the diffuser head.
- Fill the bottle with essential oil. Add your Scentia diffuser oil. For the cleanest mist, use a low-viscosity, water-free fragrance oil designed for cold-air diffusers (all Scentia oils are formulated for this).
- Reattach the bottle and replace the diffuser head. Screw the bottle back onto the head, then seat the head firmly back into the base.
- Power on. Plug in to charge or run cordless, then short-press the power button to start.
Important: Keep the Scentia Max vertical at all times once filled. Tilting or laying it flat can cause oil to overflow into the unit and contaminate the circuit board, which reduces performance.
How to use the controls
The Scentia Max has four touch buttons on the body, plus a status indicator light.
Intensity (Grade)
Short-press the intensity button to cycle through mist strength: Grade 1 → 2 → 3 → 4 → 5 → Custom. Higher grades release more scent and use more oil.
Power on / off
Short-press the power button to turn the diffuser on, and short-press again to turn it off. Long-press the power button for 5 seconds to restore factory settings (this resets intensity levels, saved programs, and the app password).
Ambient light
Press the light button to turn the ambient light on or off. The light works whether the diffuser is running or off, so it can be used as a standalone night light.
Timer
Press the timer button to cycle through run-time modes: 1H → 2H → 4H → 8H → Smart. When first powered on, the default is 24-hour operation. “Smart” mode follows the schedule you set in the app.

How to set up the Scentia app
The Scentia app (free on iOS and Android) lets you name your device, schedule fragrance times, and control intensity remotely over Bluetooth.
- Download the app. Search “Scentia” in the Apple App Store or Google Play and install it.
- Enable Bluetooth and Location. Both must be turned on for your phone to find the diffuser.
- Open the app and choose your device. The Scentia Max will appear on the device selection screen.
- Name your diffuser. On the Device Control page, set a device name and room label, then tap Save (top-right).
- Add a fragrance schedule. Tap the + icon to create a schedule.
- Set the working period. Choose the start and end times the diffuser should run.
- Pick intensity and days. Select the grade and the days of the week for that schedule.
- Save. Tap Save to confirm. You can store up to 5 separate schedules.
- Manage schedules. Toggle any schedule on or off on the Device Control page; swipe right to delete one.
How to clean the Scentia Max
Clean the diffuser whenever you switch to a different scent, or if the mist output starts to weaken. This clears any oil buildup from the atomizing core.
- Fill a clean spare bottle with rubbing (isopropyl) alcohol.
- Install that bottle and turn the diffuser on.
- Let it run for about 10 minutes so the alcohol passes through the atomizing core.
- Turn it off. Your diffuser is ready for fresh oil.
Switching scents without cleaning is the most common cause of “muddy” or weak fragrance. A 10-minute alcohol cycle between oils keeps every scent crisp.
Troubleshooting
The diffuser isn’t producing any mist
- Confirm the unit is powered on (green indicator light).
- Make sure the diffuser is upright — a tilted or flat unit will not atomize correctly.
- Check that the bottle and diffuser head are screwed on snugly.
- If you’re using the adapter, try a different outlet or a different plug.
- The atomizing core may be clogged from long use — run an alcohol cleaning cycle or replace the atomizing core.
The mist is weak or faint
- Run a 10-minute alcohol cleaning cycle to clear the atomizing core.
- Increase the intensity grade using the Grade button.
- Very thick (high-viscosity) oils atomize poorly — use a low-viscosity oil made for cold-air diffusers.
- If output is still weak after cleaning, replace the atomizing core.
Oil is leaking from the unit
- The bottle may be loose — make sure it is screwed in fully.
- The sealing gasket may be worn — replace it with a new one.
- The air pump connection may be loose — tighten it, or replace if damaged.
- Always keep the diffuser vertical to prevent overflow.
The diffuser is spitting or sprinkling oil droplets
- The atomizing core or its straw may be missing or damaged — reseat or replace it.
- If droplets continue, the internal pump may need replacement.
The screen or indicator isn’t displaying
- Confirm the unit has battery charge or is plugged in.
- If the display still won’t light, contact Scentia support for service.
The app won’t connect
- Make sure both Bluetooth and Location services are enabled on your phone.
- Keep your phone within a few feet of the diffuser while pairing.
- Close and reopen the Scentia app, then reselect your device.
- If it remains unpaired, long-press power for 5 seconds to factory reset, then pair again.

How do I reset the Scentia Max?

Can I schedule when the diffuser runs?
