Are Scentia fragrance oils phthalate-free?
Yes. Every Scentia fragrance oil is formulated without phthalates.
Phthalates are a group of chemicals used in some fragrance products to make scent last longer and to help fragrance dissolve evenly. They appear on ingredient lists under the catch-all term "fragrance," which is why they're difficult for shoppers to identify. Scentia oils are made without them, so what disperses into your room is fragrance and nothing added to extend it.
Where are Scentia fragrance oils made?
In the United States. Our fragrance oils are hand-poured at our facility in Miami, Florida, and every order ships from Miami.
Our diffusers — the Scentia Max, Pod, MiniPod and Casa — are designed in the USA and built to US engineering specifications. The oils themselves are the part made here.
Are Scentia fragrance oils safe for pets?
Yes. Scentia fragrance oils are safe to use in homes with pets.
The distinction that matters is between fragrance oils and essential oils. Essential oils are concentrated plant extracts, and several common ones — tea tree, eucalyptus, pine, citrus, peppermint — can be harmful to cats and dogs. Scentia oils are perfumer-formulated fragrance oils, not concentrated botanical extracts, and our cold-air diffusers disperse a dry mist without heat or water, so nothing settles on floors or surfaces where pets walk.
Are Scentia fragrance oils vegan?
Yes. Scentia fragrance oils contain no animal-derived ingredients.
What does IFRA-compliant mean?
IFRA is the International Fragrance Association, which publishes safety standards governing which fragrance materials can be used and at what concentrations.
Compliance means each of our formulations has been assessed against those standards for its intended use — ambient home scenting through a diffuser. It's an independent benchmark rather than a marketing term, which is why it's worth looking for on any home fragrance product.
What sizes do Scentia fragrance oils come in?
Four: 20ml, 50ml, 120ml and 500ml.
The 20ml is for trying a scent, and appears in our sample sets. The 50ml suits a single room. The 120ml is the size most brands skip — enough for a scent you've settled on, without committing to a large bottle. The 500ml is for whole-home or commercial use with the Casa.

How do fragrance oils compare to essential oils for home scenting?
Fragrance oils are formulated for scent performance; essential oils are extracted for aromatherapy.
For scenting a room, fragrance oils hold their character longer, throw further, and stay consistent from bottle to bottle. Essential oils shift with each harvest and fade faster in open air. Fragrance oils also allow scent profiles that don't exist as single plant extracts — the layered, multi-note compositions used in hotels and spas.
How do I try Scentia oils?
Start with a sample set. The Top 3 Sample Set gives you three 20ml bottles; the Top 5 Sample Set widens the range. Browse the full range in the Luxury Resort Collection, Designer-Inspired Collection and Fall Collection, or take the scent quiz.
